Kiama Central Netball Club is a vibrant, community-focused club dedicated to fostering a love for netball while promoting values of teamwork, loyalty, friendship, respect, and inclusivity. Our club welcomes players of all ages and skill levels, providing a supportive environment where individuals can grow both on and off the court. We are committed to encouraging sportsmanship, building strong community connections, and empowering players to develop their full potential. Hello! My name is Racheal Morgan, a proud Yuin / Anaiwan woman living in Kiama Downs. I have had the privilege of being involved with the Kiama Central Netball Club for over 17 years, serving as a player, umpire, coach & committee member, including time on the grading committee.
When I was asked to design a painting the represents this amazing club that I have been part of, along with my daughters, for so many years, I was truly honoured. This artwork not only reflects my cultural heritage, but also the essence of Kiama as a community.
The painting features a large meeting place symbolising our netball community coming together to share the experience of the game.
The three circles represent our junior players, senior players, and the Kiama Central committee that helps keep this wonderful club running. The wavy lines connect everyone – players and members of the past, present, and those who will join us in the future.
