Kiama Central Netball Club Presidents Report – June 2025

Kiama Central Netball Club – Presidents Report – June 2025

As we approach the mid-point of our 2025 netball season, it’s a great time to reflect on what has already been a hugely successful and enjoyable year for our club.

Local netball has been exceptionally competitive this season, with our teams putting in strong performances each week and achieving some great results across all age groups. It’s been fantastic to see the energy and commitment on the courts, with players showing both skill and sportsmanship in every game.

Our Representative netball program has also had an outstanding season. Many of our talented Central girls have been travelling most weekends to compete at a high level and they’ve done our club proud. Their dedication and effort are truly commendable, and we look forward to seeing their continued development and success.

Off the court, our club has had several great wins too. A big thank you to everyone who supported our pie drive fundraiser it was a resounding success and will go a long way in helping us continue to support our players and programs.

Our umpires have also been working tirelessly each week to ensure games run smoothly and fairly. Thank you to Lisa our coordinator for your commitment, professionalism, and resilience especially as the pace and competitiveness of games increase. I also extend my sincere thanks to the teams and volunteers who have stepped up for canteen duty across the weekends. Your support not only keeps the club running but creates a welcoming and community-focused environment for all members and visitors. Behind the scenes, our committee has been working hard to make sure all members are well looked after at the courts each week. However, we have noticed a decline in attendance at our committee meetings. Moving forward, we hope to introduce a system where each team is represented at meetings. This will ensure we have a variety of voices and expertise contributing to the club’s decisions and future direction.

As we head into the mid-year break, I encourage everyone to take the time to rest and recharge ahead of the final rounds and the excitement of finals. Let’s remember the most important parts of our game enjoying your netball, having fun with your friends, and always choosing to Be Kind to one another.

Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing break in July. We look forward to seeing you back on court real soon.

Thanks

Jackie
