President’s Report – July 2026

As we move through the middle of the 2025 netball season, it has been fantastic to see the continued commitment, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship displayed by our players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and families. June and July have been busy months both on and off the court, and it has been wonderful to watch our club continue to grow and strengthen.

Firstly, a huge congratulations to all of our representative players, coaches and manages and parents who competed and or assisted at the State Titles a few weeks ago. Also, congratulations to the players and 2 assistant coaches that attended the Callahan Mini State Carnival recently. You represented Kiama Central and your association with pride, demonstrating outstanding teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and the way you conducted yourselves both on and off the court.

One of the key focuses over the past two months has been continuing to build and strengthen relationships with our valued community sponsors. I have had the pleasure of attending both The Kiama Rotary and Lions meetings recently on behalf of Kiama Central Netball Club, providing an opportunity to connect with these wonderful community organisations and further develop the partnerships that are so important to the ongoing success of our club. We are incredibly grateful for the support our sponsors provide and look forward to continuing these strong relationships into the future.

Community engagement continues to be an important part of who we are as a club. On Saturday, 1 August, Kiama Central will be assisting Apple Tree Catering, one of our valued sponsors, with a community engagement BBQ. This is a fantastic opportunity to support one of our sponsors while also raising the profile of our club within the local community. These partnerships provide benefits on many levels, and we appreciate everyone who is volunteering their time to make the day a success.

We were notified last week that the Kiama Netball Association President, Michelle Gregory will be stepping down from the role effective 31 July. On behalf of Kiama Central Netball Club, I would like to sincerely thank Michelle for her dedication, commitment, and contribution to netball within our association. The remaining KNA Executive Committee will now begin the process of identifying an interim President to lead the association through the remainder of the season, and we wish them every success during this transition.

As we head into the final part of the season, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our committee members, coaches, managers, umpires, volunteers, players, parents, and supporters. Also, a very special congratulations to Jess Webb being appointed as KNA Executive Assistant Secretary and Carnival Secretary recently. Your ongoing commitment, countless hours of work, and willingness to help wherever needed are what make Kiama Central such a successful and welcoming club. Our club simply would not function without each one of you.

We now look forward to finishing the season strongly and celebrating together at our End of Season Presentation Night. It will be a wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements of our players, teams, volunteers, and officials while celebrating another fantastic year for Kiama Central Netball Club.

Thank you for your continued support, and let’s enjoy the exciting weeks of netball still to come.

Thanks,

Jackie Hall President Kiama Central Netball Club
